Smith & Wesson: Titans in Time
Horace Smith & D.B. Wesson formed a partnership to manufacture a firearm that could fire a fully self-contained cartridge. Since its establishment in 1852, Smith & Wesson has provided Americans with the freedom, equality, and security envisioned in the Declaration of Independence and safeguarded by the Bill of Rights. This commitment to safety liberates individuals to pursue their aspirations, shape their future, and uphold the ideals of America.

Review of the gun
Introduction on how we will review.
To promote a uniform accuracy assessment for our firearms, we’ve decided on a testing procedure that includes firing a total of 21 rounds, comprising a mix of hollow point, FMJ (Full Metal Jacket), and reloads, aimed at a target placed 21 feet away. After thorough consideration, we’re excited to reveal the unique method we’ll be using to evaluate these formidable firearms. We are proud to introduce the mascot of Clinger Holsters, “Clingie,” as the cornerstone of our rating system.
Our evaluation will be based on a 1-5 scale, where a score of 1 signifies a poor performance and a score of 5 denotes an outstanding one. The higher the number of “Clingies” awarded, the better the firearm has performed in our assessment.
How the Smith & Wesson M&P 5.7 Scored
At the range, our evaluation was conducted by two experienced individuals: the CEO of Clinger Holsters and the Creative Director. Both are passionate shooters, avid gun enthusiasts, and staunch supporters of the Second Amendment. Let’s take a closer look at the average scores they provided.

- Overall Thoughts
Overall Appearance:
This gun boasts an overall appealing design, though it might not claim the title of the best-looking firearm out there. Its clean, straight lines add a touch of elegance, but the grip’s size can be somewhat jarring. It appears rather bulky, like a brick attached to an otherwise sleek pistol. While the larger grip size is essential to accommodate the ammunition, it’s a feature that some might find hard to overlook.
Accessories:
The accessories included with the Smith and Wesson M&P 5.7 might not be particularly noteworthy, but they cover all the essentials. In the box, you’ll find two standard 22-round magazines, a loader, a lock, and the instruction manual—everything you need to get started.

This model received a lower score due to its broad grip, which some may find challenging to hold comfortably.
