S&W 1911 4 Inch Holsters – Concealed Carry
For years Smith&Wesson has been known for its reliability, and excellent manufacturing of firearms. Now, they have taken their own hand into making one of the most beloved firearms of all time—the 1911. One of their most popular 1911 models is the 4-inch barrel (actually 4.25). It comes with all the features of the well known 1911, but in a smaller package with a Smith&Wesson touch.
The 1911 4-inch features a long beavertail and a palm safety, like you’d expect of a 1911. It has a 4.25 inch barrel and an overall length of 8 inches; which translates to 0.75 inches shorter than a full size 1911. It weighs in at 29.6 ounces and which make it less than 2 lbs. This makes this pistol perfect for concealed carry. In the perfect IWB holster, the S&W 1911 will disappear on the hip and ride all day without discomfort.
The sights are fixed with a black post front sight that wont snag on clothing. The trigger is single action, and the classic thumb safety which can allow for cocked and locked if you’re a shooter that likes to carry that way. The thumb safety is also ambidextrous. The slide is made of stainless steel and is coated with a black, corrosion resistant finish. The S&W 1911 comes with a throated barrel and what they refer to as “a precision crowed muzzle.”
No matter how you carry the Smith&Wesson 1911 4-inch, it is sure to remain reliable and accurate. For those of you who don’t already know, each S&W pistol is covered by a lifetime service policy. More information can be found on their website.
