In the case of the XD series, the ‘S’ stands for SLIM and it lives up to its name.
The XD-s is a comfortable, compact, and most importantly concealable firearm.
It stands less than tall at 4.4” with the flush-fit magazine, 6.3 inches long, 3.3 inches of which are the barrel, and the slim comes into play at nine-tenths of an inch wide. We provide one of the best gun holster for this gun. Not only is it comfortable, it is also one of the easiest concealable holster out there.

Performance
The XD-s is smooth in regards to its accuracy, reliability, and effectiveness. That is why we provide an excellent XDS concealed holster to go with this pistol.
This gun is highly accurate, the sights that come out-of-the-box are Fiber-Optic front and dovetail rear sights, allowing you to take and maintain a positive sight picture.
The sights are slim and low-profile, which means non-obstructive. The ergonomics allow you to point-and-shoot.
This gun, for me, could take and expend everything but the kitchen sink. No malfunctions and no misfires.
The XD-s does not have the GRIP ZONE texture, but still, contains a good thorough texture in the front straps and back straps for a good firing grip.
If you are like me, you may want to invest in an after-market grip or a cover, due to how rough the texture can get after a day at the range.
This gun is one of the smoothest and quietest guns I have ever handled. Size really did not matter with the XD-s, there is hardly any recoil and the only noise I really heard was the audible click of the striker resetting.
