HK VP9SK Holsters For Concealed Carry
Heckler & Koch introduces their much anticipated subcompact model of their jaw-dropping HK VP series—the VP9SK. This pistol is their solution to a more concealable designed pistol but keeping the VP series’ larger frame.
All the Good
The HK VP series already has the “completely” adjustable grips; well, the VP9SK still has that and but it is compact. The adjustability consists of interchangeable backstraps and lateral grip panels along with molded finger grooves which allows the grip of the VP9SK to fit each individual shooter. The trigger on this 9mm pistol is the HK’s VP series precision strike trigger with a short trigger travel, single-action break followed by a satisfying reset.
The VP9SK also comes with HK’s patented charging supports for easy chamber checking, and for racking the slide without the need for strong hand strength. It also can use a variety of HK magazines if you already have some: the 10-round or 13-round with either flat or extended floor-plates; and the 15-round used by the HK VP Full-size and P30.
None of the Bad
Not only does this pistol have the features of the VP series, it is also completely ambidextrous. The slide release and “paddle style” magazine release are present on both sides for left-handed and right-handed operation. The VP9SK also has an abbreviated Picatinny MIL-STD-1913 rail molded into the polymer frame for mounting lights and accessories.
The VP9SK slide is made of machined steel to resist corrosion and wear from your concealed carry holster as well as comes with all metal components, including spring and pins. Despite the subcompact size, the VP9SK uses it weight and balance to provide a natural point of aim, safe and easy control, and accurate shooting. This pistol also comes with one flat and one extended floorplate 10-round magazine.
