Beretta M9

This is the legendary pistol, first contracted by the United States military in 1985. After two decades, the Beretta M9 continues to renew its contract and to serve as it has been rightfully named: the World Defender. It has undergone grueling trials from the inferno deserts of Iraq and the icy Afghan mountains. Today, the M9 is durable, reliable, safe, and accurate—whether in the field abroad or at home for personal defense.

Tactical Features

The Beretta M9 comes with a reversable magazine release for easy of either hand use and an ambidextrous safety-decocker, which makes this a versatile weapon for either the left- or right-handed shooters. It has a tool-free disassembly latch to make cleaning fast and easy. It is finished in Beretta’s Bruniton in black, to resist corrosion.

It comes with a white three-dot sight system for fast target aquisistion and the grip aids in natural point of aim. The M9 has a “combat trigger guard” with fine serrations to optimize off-hand placement. It comes standard with an external hammer and an open slide design to make the M9 both lighter and reduce malfunctions. The M9 also comes with two 15-round capacity magazines (and is available in 10-round capacity as well) in 9mm.

Reliability

During the official testing of the M9, it was subjected to -40 degrees Fahrenheit and +140 degrees Fahrenheit. It also had 35,000 rounds of ammunition put through it before it malfunctioned. The M9 was buried in sand, snow—dropped on hard surfaces continuously. You name it—the M9 has powered through it. One of the final tests it passed was at the firing range where the M9 was proven to accurately find its mark in 10-shot groups of 3 inches or less at 50 meters. When it comes to reliability and accuracy look no further than the M9.
