The Perfect Ruger SR9c Holsters
For Concealed Carry
Stingray
No-Print Wonder
Sturm, Ruger, and Company, also known as weapons developer Ruger has made available a version of the SR9 that is much better suited for Concealed Carry, especially in our Ruger SR9c concealed carry holsters.
The Sturm, Ruger 9mm Compact, or the SR9c has a shorter barrel and grip. Ruger SR9c Kydex holsters are easy to find and will complete your Concealed Carry package.
First Impressions
The SR9c is a striker-fired, compact, double-stack design. It is one of the thinnest double-stack handguns available, making it ideal for concealment in our holsters for SR9c.
Sizing up at 4.61” tall, 1.27” wide (due to the multiple safety mechanisms), and 6.85” long, the SR9c is indeed small compared to other double-stacks on the market.
The slide has most of the same features the SR9 has, such as: a huge extractor, adjustable three-dot sight, loaded chamber indicator, and forward cocking serrations.
The loaded-chamber indicator has the phrase “loaded when up” impressed on the top.
The package contains two magazines. One is the standard flush-fitting 10 round magazine, the other is an extended magazine that can hold 17 rounds. This is a nice option which is great for the shooting range or your night stand. The small magazine is great for concealment while the larger magazine is handy when you aren’t concealing. For the 17 round magazine, there is a magazine loader.
Smooth Feel
The grip has a smooth checkered texture, with minute grooves at the front and back. It has a reversible backstrap, allowing it to be adjusted to fit most hands.
The Ruger SR9c has a smooth trigger, with just a 5.2 lb trigger pull.
The magazine release is ambidextrous and at the base of the trigger guard, providing a smooth transition when reloading.
Nice One
This weapon is a beauty. The sights are in the regular 3-dot style.
The quick striker-fired reset assists with the ability to produce more shots in a shorter time frame.
All in all, Ruger made a compact masterpiece with the SR9c. There is no question why it was chosen as the Shooting Industry Academy of Excellence’s Handgun of the Year in 2010. It doesn’t hurt that it looks pretty cool too!
