The Heckler & Koch P30SK
Took them long enough!
Since its introduction in 2007. The P30 has been missing one crucial thing… The fans clamored to make a compact version for concealed carry. In 2015 our wish was granted!
Enter the P30SK. With its sleek design, adjustable grips, and adaptable feel. The P30SK is definitely one of the most sought after concealed carry guns on the market.
Short & Sweet
With a height of 4.57”, a width of 1.37”, and a length it is small enough to conceal, but just large enough to give you that familiar feeling of its big brother the P30. For concealed carry purposes the ‘No-Print Wonder‘ was awesome for absolute concealment. It was able to accommodate the length, height, and width of the gun with no issues.
The P30SK has superb balance, with the back of the frame resting firmly over the web of the shooting hand, the second and third fingers solidly engaging the frontstrap grooves.
The sights are an impressive three dot format with a yellow tint. The yellow tint is luminescent which work like a glow in the dark feature. The yellow dots should be previously exposed to light to work effectively in a low-lighting environment.
The slide has both rear and front serrations with a decocker on the rear of the slide.
The slide stop itself is ambidextrous along with the magazine release paddle.
The grip on the P30SK offers a wide variety of modifications to fit each shooter’s hand size. I have rather small hands and it fit great. The little finger rests securely beneath the magazine.
The choice of three different sizes of backstraps and six various sizes of grip panels is the most flexibility I’ve ever seen with grip modification ability for a Concealed Carry gun.
The result is that the P30SK locks in and feels incredibly secure — more like a larger compact-sized pistol even with the pinky resting below the magazine.
Even if you are unfamiliar with the HK series, the P30SK will feel like butter in your hands. With the adjustable grip, and the possibility of an extended magazine this gun can accommodate almost any size hands. Women and men alike cannot knock the P30SK for adaptability between shooters. They know what they are doing and they do it well.
So… how much is the Heckler & Koch P30SK?
In today’s market you can purchase the P30SK around $530, depending on which sights and lasers are installed (if any at all). Which is significantly cheaper than the original P30 which is around $1000.
From my experience with the P30SK, I say this. It’s worth every penny!
The grip, the adaptability, and the design. It is hard to beat the Heckler & Koch P30SK. The P30SK was definitely worth the wait. HK P30SK holsters are your next priority. You’ll need a high quality holster for such a high quality handgun.
